ILAC vs ILSC

Both Are Language Schools —
But They Suit Different People

ILAC and ILSC can both be arranged for Vancouver and Toronto campuses, and both suit English study and university pathways. ILSC's strengths are adult course flexibility, official exam centre status and Greystone College career connections; ILAC is better for those who want clear level progression, small classes and age-group courses for teens and mature learners.

Sky Lantern Recommendation: If the goal is adult study, university exam preparation, business English, medical English or career development, ILSC is usually worth a deeper look; if the student is younger or wants more attentive programme care, ILAC is worth comparing alongside.

ILSC primarily offers adult English courses, suitable for learners aged 18+ who wish to improve their English, including university preparation candidates, working professionals and those considering immigration to Canada. The programme has 10 proficiency levels from beginner to advanced — no specific English level is required for enrolment.
ILSC uses a monthly course arrangement. At the start of each month, learners can re-select the most suitable course combination based on their level and goals (for example, switching from General English to Business English, or adjusting the class time slot). This flexibility means learners don't need to commit to a whole programme from the start — adjustments can be made as learning progresses and life needs change.
Yes. ILSC has university pathway partnership agreements with over 130 Canadian universities and colleges. After completing the designated academic English programme and reaching the required level, learners can apply directly to these institutions without submitting IELTS or TOEFL scores. If you have university plans, Sky Lantern can help clarify the required programme duration and level.
Yes. ILSC is an officially authorised exam centre for IELTS and Cambridge English. Learners can register and sit for exams directly at their campus — preparation courses and the formal exam are both completed at the same location, eliminating the hassle of travelling to a separate exam venue.
ILSC offers two accommodation options: homestay and student dormitory, selectable based on personal needs and budget. Homestay allows learners to continue using English outside the classroom and gain an in-depth understanding of Canadian family culture; student dormitories offer more independent living space, suitable for learners who prefer to live independently. Sky Lantern can assist with matching and processing accommodation applications — all in Chinese.
